Mikel Bueno Viso
Mikel Bueno Viso is a Research Assistant at Cranfield University’s Centre for Robotics and Assembly, specialising in robotics, automation, and intelligent manufacturing. With an engineering background spanning industrial technologies, automation, and robotics, his work focuses on reconfigurable, flexible, and responsive manufacturing systems.
Mikel is the lead developer and maintainer of IFRA-Cranfield’s ros2_SimRealRobotControl framework, enabling standardised, robot-agnostic simulation and control for industrial and collaborative manipulators.
Alongside his research role, he is undertaking a part-time PhD (since 2022) on robust, hardware- and software-agnostic frameworks to support the next generation of adaptive and intelligent robotic manufacturing environments.
