Gavin has been working in the Industry 4.0 and industrial digitalisation space for more than a decade. Currently he is focused on making sure that the research being done at the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) meets the present and future needs of UK manufacturers. Incorporating technological areas such as robotics, visualisation technologies, AI/machine learning, product lifecycle management and many others. However, the focus is not on the technology, it is what the technology can unlock for the manufacturing community.
