SHOW NEWS: OnRobot reveals product expansion plans

John Thornton

End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) provider OnRobot has revealed that the company plans to offer 50 products by the end of 2020.

OnRobot, which used Robotics and Automation 2019 to showcase its suite of EOAT solutions, including its flagship RG2 gripper and innovative Gecko gripper, will introduce 38 new products, upping its current offering of 12 to 50.

OnRobots’ Richard Mawson, area sales manager for UK and Ireland, said: “We have 12 main products at the moment and the company vision is 50 products by the end of next year. The rate of expansion is demanding, which is why we have two R&D offices in the USA, one in Budapest and one in Denmark.”

Mawson also shared details of OnRobot’s latest product, an interface that has been designed to dramatically simplify automation by providing one platform for training and programming. This means manufacturers can have access to the company’s entire range of EOATs, opening up collaborative opportunities.

“This new one-system solution speeds deployment so manufacturers save time and money and can quickly realise the benefits of automation,” said Mawson, who added that, with a deployment time of 30 minutes, the interface works with nine major robot brands, making integration simple.
