Five minutes with John Hunter, Sales Manager, Axelent

Can you please share a little about yourself with our visitors?

Axelent is a Swedish manufacturer of mesh wall systems for industrial and warehouse applications.  Our flagship product is X-Guard – the number one machine guard that complies with the Machine Directive’s demands on permanent guards. With its wide range of standard components and accessories, X-Guard is guaranteed to cover all possible machine guard requirements.  We now offer X-Tray, the complete cable management system fully compatible with X-Guard.

In the UK we offer project management, customer support and installation.  Our experienced team will be on hand at Robotics and Automation 2017 to discuss your requirements.

In addition to machine guarding we also offer industrial & warehouse partitioning systems as well as range safety accessories for example bollards, barriers, walkway protection etc.

Can you please tell us why you chose to exhibit at Robotics and Automation 2017?

Robotics and Automation is a tailored show which is very well suited to Axelent’s expertise and products. We are excited to get in on the ground floor of a show which has lots of potential and is a show the UK has been asking for.

What will you be sharing with visitors to the exhibition?

This year we have added the new X-It lock to our X-Guard range, this makes securing doors even easier with its quick installation and versatility. We also have some brand new bracketry for our cable management system X-Tray which integrates seamlessly with X-Guard for a complete solution.

What do you feel are the biggest challenges facing the industry at the moment?

Recruitment. As a small business recruiting the right people is key, especially in a niche sector. Coupled with the fact we are based in the thriving town of Swindon, which has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the UK.
