Denso launches two data collection devices
Denso, part of the Toyota group, has launched two Android data collection devices designed for a number of sectors including: retail, logistics, transport, production, field & sales force automation, and health.
The BHT-1800 is equipped with a 5 inch screen, while the BHT-1700 has a 4 inch screen a physical keyboard.
They are equipped with Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) and are introduced to the market as a package, since they both work with the same technology.
Sina Haupt of Denso Auto-ID Business Unit, said: “Each model is configured to speed the users’ processes to the max.”
The handhelds can read 1D and 2D barcodes as well as NFC cards from as close as 35 millimetres, even when damaged. The long-range model of the BHT-1700 with GunGrip allows scanning up to a distance of ten metres.
Denso will be exhibiting at The Robotics and Automation Exhibition which takes place at Arena MK in Milton Keynes from 10th to 11th October.
The exhibition has grown dramatically following the success of last year’s event and is on track to be three times the size.
The exhibition will also include a full conference programme Alex Harvey, head of robotics and autonomous systems at Ocado, will provide the opening keynote looking at the development of robotics in the warehouse.
